He shouldn’t have needed to change his mind about that one. I still love him; he just cocked up there. The fact he has since accepted it is part of his charm. If I didn’t already think he was awesome, this update from you would have changed my mind about him.

He changed his mind about that, where normally, in similar situations, people just eternally try and argue that actually they were right. Another plus point in our book. The ability to change your mind after thinking about something a bit is hugely underrated.

For the first time ever in a team-building exercise I knew exactly what had to be done. Here is the picture that I brought.

I really hope to read that chapter one of these days.

He’s as near as damn it though.

Average of 40 with 10 hundreds and the runs he saved in the field too… What a cricketer.

Apropos to unconnected matters – indeed matters only very tangentially related to cricket…I mentioned a week or two ago that I was helping a friend to illustrate and place his great-grandfather’s 1901 honeymoon diary on the web. We published this weekend:

http://ianlouisharris.com/1901/07/11/george-and-edith-corkes-honeymoon-diary-27-june-to-11-july-1901/

The progeny of this union married a Widnes CC legend, but the real reason for linking here is that I know that some of you will be captivated and enthralled by this charming piece of writing.

Enjoy.
