In response to Sam: focusing on the cultural anxiety that surrounds bias within language, especially within the media, Agnew chose a rant rather than measured debate. Also, his repeated use of the word to describe Liew was obviously extreme. One needs a certain gravitas to be called a c***.

I think DC must mean W3 to W12, as the latter is the Shepherd’s Bush postcode but the club is on the eastern fringe of W3.

Noddyland (Daisy’s house) is on the western fringe of W3. WE describe that place as our country residence and the Flat in Notting Hill gate (W2) as the city quarters.

That makes Shepherd’s Bush the suburbs I suppose. Quite right. Inner London suburb too. Well street. Daisy and I went there to the theatre on Saturday:

Still hanging around Barnes, DC? A very pleasant area if I might say so.

W4 to N2 would be quite a step down in social class for our old friend the cricket ball.

Speaking of which, what are we to make of this unpleasantness?

We presume you mean W3 to W4 or N2 or something, as full postcodes only stretch a few doors anyway.

You’re right.

There’s additional editing too because we’d ended each of our England World Cup player profiles in that style and now feel that it’s unjustified.

And was amaze-balls. He literally hit the ball into another postcode against Shepherds Bush (a ground that’s on the border of a postcode – but it’s still a mighty blow).

One of our (Barnes’) players said that he’d like to become his agent… how we laughed. So the player didn’t become his agent. I’d just like to say sorry now.

Mohammed Nabi.
