When each match finishes, you can simply switch off the TV. We’ve saved you from post-match analysis with our team guide for Cricinfo. It explains why your team lost.

When Bumble says “start the car” – that’s your cue to switch off the box. You can go and do something more productive with your time, like hammering old, rusty nails into a plank of wood so that they’re easier to carry when you take them to the tip.

The Lazy Pundit’s Guide To Why Your Team Lost – New Zealand is our favourite.

  1. It’s a very good piece, KC.

I have commented on the Cricinfo site and my comment might just appear there before either of us die of old age.

    1. Think of the time Krusade must have saved by missing out a few letters, rejecting capitals selectively and ignoring most punctuation. I wish my life was so busy.

    2. Yup, you’ve got me bang to rights, KC. Those pseudonyms and many others on Cricinfo are me.

That way, if I fail to get the joke and then subsequently realise that, for example, KP hasn’t really defected to Pakistan, people will think it was some other semi-literate half-wit who chimed in with pathetic comments, not me.

But now some salient reader has commented on Cricinfo under my nom de plume, GedLadd, which is an absolute outrage. The place is supposed to be moderated for foxs-ache.

    3. You used to be GedLadd round here too. What happened – did you just get lazy like Krusade38?

But I don’t get all these pseudonyms and stuff. I once read that some people hide their identity on the internet by wearing socks. It certainly doesn’t seem to be the trustworthy place I thought it was. Why can’t people just use their real name like I do?

  2. NZ is less than the sum of their parts. This is brilliant, and explains why they have been shit for so long. One has to combine this insight with previous discussions on momentum. Clearly, some of Dan’s men have been running around with negative momentum.

In fact, this would explain why any team is shit.
