We thought it a lot and we linked to a piece in which the term is used. We can’t put everything front and centre.

Does David Gower’s alleged ambidextrousness qualify him for the team, or double disqualify him?

The Twitter debate stemming from this really covered some ground. Inspin and outspin, legswing and offswing, goofy and regular batting stances, the nonsense that is left- and right-field in baseball and of course stage left and stage right in theatre (‘backward square stage’ was proposed as a term that needed to be brought into the world).

‘Both’ is definitely a credible answer to that question.
