Think I might have missed that in May…

Why they pulled the live career stats is beyond me!

The player pages are also awful on mobile but that may vary based on device.

The player pages are still the best, but I go to them directly via generic internet search these days. Still disappointed every time I click the link to a scorecard, though. I keep forgetting.

May I echo the inevitable sentiments of those around me by saying ‘less of the good work, keep up the mediocrity and unrelated cat posts’.

The scorecards are a big issue, the “live career stats” page has disappeared which I used to hit all the time and it’s generally less user friendly. Let’s face it, we all go to Cricinfo for the live scorecards and statsguru, the articles come second.

It also fixates more on the country you are from. Being from Australia I have to scroll a long way down the page to see that in fact SA is about to play India which feels like it could be a fascinating series.

On Micko’s specific Cricinfo point, my views haven’t changed. I prefer the new design on the hand-held device but still find it harder to use and irritating on the PC. Unquestionably I use Cricinfo less now than i did before.

On the King Cricket site, I applaud the fact that you do not simply chase the ratings/stats, KC, as the topics that attract in “passing trade” are the bits that interest me the least.

I’ve been a devotee of this site for good few years now and I still applaud it; not least for the wonderful community of commentators/kibbitzers who regularly hang out around here.

Agreed, Micko.

I think it’s the scorecards, which are (in my view) the most important bit of the site. I can cope with the ‘news’ section being messed about with (particularly as it’s no worse/better than the rest of the ‘main’ ESPN site), but the scorecards for Tests still require a lot of clicking and/or scrolling to see what was once instantly visible.

Interesting. Looking back on that post, we wondered whether people had grown used to it or not since then.

Not this time, 6 months down the track and is still feels crap.
