1. Devious, these fast bowlers are. They’ll try any trick in the book, including that one where you point at something in the sky and shout “Oh my god, what’s that?”

3. When I was at school I was both young and small for my year, which made the better bowlers seem especially tall and quick.

   I used to to guard in roughly the position shown in the photograph in the vain hope that some good might come of it.
