The Dawg writes:
I’m all for animals being conspicuously indifferent to cricket, but have you seen who is at the crease?
This is taken from a Kent v Surrey T20 game at the Oval. That pigeon should show more respect.
If you’ve got a picture of an animal being conspicously indifferent to cricket, send it to king@kingcricket.co.uk.
Shockingly poor behaviour. I blame the parents. Pigeons are too flighty by half these days.
That pigeon is showing conspicuous indifference to T20.
It is mere coincidence that Rob Key is at the crease.
Maybe it’s just vain and sensed that it was having its picture taken.
It’s ignoring Rob Key because it’s staring at YOU, Dawg. Staring into YOUR SOUL. It knows all those things you’ve kept hidden all these long years. They all do. Whenever you go out they will find you, and they will stare at you occasionally with their eyes.
There’s no reason for it to be staring at Rob Key. He has no nasty little secrets. The pigeons can’t get to him with their stares. No, they know who to stare at.
Or it might be having a poo
Dawg?
I am now too terrified to go out Bert, thanks. They might be there, piercing little eyes scouring my brain…
Nobody would be so disrespectful as to have a poo in the presence of his Bobness, pigeon or not.
That may well be the strangest sentence I have ever written.
Oh come on, I think we’ve all soiled ourselves in the presence of the big fella at least once or twice.
If it were to have had a poo in front of Sir Bob I would have been forced to throttle its stupid little pigeon neck.
It’s comments like this that make me really, really hope RTK reads this site.
I’ve certainly wet myself laughing at his batting.
I’ve just had a very satisfying lol. Pressing page down revealed the pigeon in a brilliantly instant way.
Given the fact that statues are generally more mobile than Key he was lucky not to be bombarded with guano.
It is probably simply trying to avoid being captured and immersed in a pie for the bounteous pleasure of Sir Robert Key.
Great to see the return of nice, short picture posts.
Maybe something could be done about this:

Very big bat and ball, or very small Michael Clarke?
And check out the seam on the ball. Someone’s clearly been digging their fingernails in.
I stood next to Rob Key on the circle line the other day
A seat became available and even though he didn’t use I could not sit down either as I was in the presence of greatness
As he rode off on his Capibara I nodded knowingly at him and he smiled
Standing room only in a tube carriage containing Key?
It’s true what they say about nature abhorring a vaccum then. 😉
