We’re more here for escapism, Rog.

Speaking of which, that Dom Bess five-for was magnificently awful, assuming you meant the Sri Lanka one.

Good fun maybe, but bad journalism.

No.

Sometimes – about once every 16 years – you should get massively disproportionately carried away. It makes it more fun.

Dom Bess took a fifer in India a while back, but had the decency to admit he got the wickets bowling some rank deliveries. Let’s be honest, Ahmed will have days when he bowls better than that but doesn’t get any wickets, the delivery to Babar was a gimme.

I’m glad to learn that it is different stuff you’re writing about, KC. You writing about the old clobber in my wardrobe would be really weird. Also worrying – I only went out for a couple of hours today and I’m sure I locked the door.

It’s a conventional field that’s been mirrored for the left-hander, albeit seemingly on the wrong axis.

Stop. We’ve already begun writing exactly this article (with different stuff).

Rare to have both a silly-mid wicket keeper AND a straight croucher at the same time. Although it appears that Ahmed adjusted well by bowling from short extra cover.

Rob Key’s 221 v West Indies was BRA (before Rehan Ahmed).
