I can’t emphasise enough the need not to get carried away (restraint not being something the English press are known for when young players burst onto the scene). Dom Bess took a fifer in India a while back, but had the decency to admit he got the wickets bowling some rank deliveries. Let’s be honest, Ahmed will have days when he bowls better than that but doesn’t get any wickets, the delivery to Babar was a gimme.

Unorthodox field setting in that second photo. Rare to have both a silly-mid wicket keeper AND a straight croucher at the same time. Although it appears that Ahmed adjusted well by bowling from short extra cover.
